Valdosta Flying Service, Inc. is the Fixed Base Operation at the Valdosta Regional Airport (KVLD). We began doing business as Air Valdosta, Inc. in 1984 and the current owners have been involved ever since. In the early nineties, we purchased Holland Flying service and continued operating under that name for a brief period after which we officially became Valdosta Flying Service, Inc. We are a Phillips 66 branded FBO and currently offer full service aircraft refueling for both avgas and Jet-A as well as self-service avgas. In addition to refueling services, we offer aircraft rental, flight instruction, pilot supplies, aeronautical chart sales and aircraft storage services. Our friendly, courteous and well trained staff is prepared to assist with all of your aviation needs.
A typical lesson (prior to solo) involves approximately 1 hour of ground school going over the planned flight, flying for approximately 1 hour and approximately 1/2 hour ground discussing the flight and planning the next lesson. After soloing, the lessons will focus on cross-country planning and flying and the lessons will be longer (more ground school and longer flights).
